Enphase System Service Guide
Enphase System Service Guide
Keep Your System Online and Working Smoothly
At Newport Solar, we want your solar system to perform reliably for years. Many system issues, especially communication-related ones, can be solved quickly without the need for a service visit. Follow the guide below to troubleshoot common Enphase system issues and help avoid unnecessary repair costs.
Step 1: Check for Common Causes of Communication Issues
Before taking additional steps, confirm that none of the following changes have occurred at your home:
The Enphase Envoy has been unplugged or moved
Your WiFi router has been replaced, relocated, or the password has changed
You changed your Internet Service Provider (ISP)
If any of these are true, please call Enphase Support first. They offer free 24/7 technical support and can often help you reconnect your system remotely.

Step 2: Try Reconnecting Your System Using the Mobile App
The easiest way to reconnect your Envoy is through the Enphase Enlighten mobile app:
Open or install the Enphase Enlighten App from your device’s App Store.
Log in using your Enphase credentials.
Follow the instructions in this Enphase mobile app reconnect guide.
This method works with Envoy-S and IQ Combiner models. It is not compatible with older "pill-style" Envoys.
Step 3: Manual Reconnection Method
If the mobile app doesn’t work or you prefer a hands-on approach, follow the step-by-step instructions provided in this Enphase manual reconnect guide.
Additional Troubleshooting Tips
These are the most common issues our clients experience with their Enphase systems. You can often resolve them by following the Enphase guides below:
Gateway Not Reporting
This means your system is not communicating with Enphase servers.
Microinverter Not Reporting
A specific panel may not be producing or visible in monitoring.
Low Solar Production Error
If you see an alert that production is lower than expected.
Battery Not Reporting (for systems with storage)
Your Encharge battery may appear offline or missing in the app.

Account Ownership Changes
Ownership transfers must be completed through Enphase. Please initiate the transfer using their Ownership Transfer Guide You may also contact Enphase Support at 1-877-797-4743 to initiate the transfer. Please also notify Newport Solar of the new owner’s contact information so we can update our records and continue to support the system.
Using the Enphase App
Many common questions and alerts can be reviewed directly in the Enphase Enlighten app. The app allows you to see system status, current production, and recent performance trends.
You should have received an email from Enphase at the time of installation with instructions to set up your account and log in to the Enlighten app. This email includes a unique link required to activate your system. Please use this link rather than creating a new account. Allow 1-2 days for delivery and check your spam folder if needed.
If your system includes batteries, the same Enlighten app is used for both solar and battery monitoring.
